Therefore I want to open the middle muffler and put some straight V2A pipes covered in heat resistant insulation wool in it.

The goal would be a louder agressive tone at full throttle while not being too loud at low speed.

Has anyone tried this before and could tell me about his result?

I am also thinking about switching the LT 1 look endpipes to four round pipes. Did anyone do this? Which pipe size matches well? Maybe it would be possible to see some pictures.

Thank you for your advice and best regards from Germany. Markus
I have their cat back system for a 91 L98 with 4 outlets and it drones horribly at best.

Mine goes from engine to Y pipe then to the catalytic converter th comes out splitting in to to go to a muffler on each side with 2 outlets on each side.

So you're looking for quiet at low speed, loud at WOT, and no drone. I'm thinking you're only gonna find one manufacturer that meets these requirements.

The Corsa system is nice and sounds good but 1200 for a cat back system for a 7 to 8 k is a bit over the top in my mind.

I suspect a lot has to do with the car design.

Borla makes inserts that go in the pipe before the mufflers to reduce the drone. I believe they call them venturi's or something. I have the borla catback and modified mine to eliminate the drone. I basically copied corsas design. I did a write up on it.

This is how it sounds taking off:

I'm putting headers, eliminating the pre cats, and putting a high flow cat on this weekend so I will do some more clips afterwards. I'm sure it's going to get louder. Right now at cruising speeds the iPhone decibel meter shows around 75 decibels in cabin.
