Default Wrong injectors sent!

Well it looks like I wasted an entire day. I order a set of refurbished injectors for my 1990 and I am pretty sure they are not correct! The vendor isn't open today but I sent them these pictures and a request for contact asap. I will follow up in the morning with a phone call.

Thoughts on these pictures?

it appears that you have the correct boschIII's. the double o-rings on the bottom of the yellow boschIII's are correct. the bottom-upper o-ring sits on top of the manifolds injector cavity, and the bottom o-ring seals the injector to the manifold. from your first pic, it looks like the new injectors are not seated all the way down into the manifold. here's a couple shots of my 90 - note how the injector, upper o-rings are seated on the intake -

the intake's injector port is chamfered, and that bottom-upper o-ring sits nicely on the chamfer, and helps seal dirt from the manifold's injector port. BTW, who's your vendor?

The injectors you bought are used cleaned and checked probably and do fit a different car why should they fit? Did you notice the missing groove for the retaining clip? I am assuming your old ones were bd. Did you send them out for the same clean flow and test? Used injectors are not pulled bause there is nothing wrong with them.

The vendor contacted me and it appears it is my fault. The injetors should have been seated in the manifold first and then the rail set on top. All of the videos I had watched showed the being placed on the rail first and then set in place.

Thanks for the quick response Bob Banner with FIC!

Back to work!

Yep! Self inflicted! Injectors back in flush and rail back on! I guess on a positive note I have become an expert on removing this stuff. Maybe I can be more of a contributor now like I was in the C3 forum.

Just to be clear this was MY mistake not FIC's. Bob and John were very helpful.
