Default part buying info needed

Now that the 94 vette is finally up and running, I am planning the dreaded opti-spark and water pump replacement.
My question is, Where is a one stop online location that sells all the parts that I will need, and what is considered to be the best of the opti and pump replacement brands. I have no problem tackling the job once, but I want the best quality parts put in so I do not have to do it again.
Thanks
Woody

I have to agree that if it's not broken don't fix it.

Having said that, nothing says you can't get parts ahead of time and put them on the shelf for the time it would be needed. I've been doing that for a couple of years now, picking up things that I suspect I will need some day. That way I have less of a worry of availability if I ever need them in the future. Nothing worse than needing something and not finding it or waiting for it to arrive.

That is what I am doing, I know that with 95K miles I am eventually going to have to change the pump, opti, and wires. this way I will have everything in and not have to wait or spend the time looking around. Plus I have found in the past that if you are in a rush to buy parts, you tend to not make the best choice. That is why i asked the best supplier and brands. just getting prepared.

Just keep in mid the warrantee clock is ticking from date of purchase so may have none when you use them. It might be better to keep notes on where to buy and prices when you decided a few choices even better.

One more thing, don't stockpile things that 'age out'. Tires for example go bad over time even if not mounted on a vehicle. Some chemicals too as an example. New parts typically would not be bad, but used where liquids have been in contact with the parts internals may not be as straight forward though they might be a suitable rebuild core.

Personally I'm not worried about warranty, rather that a part works or not. If I personally was worried about warranty, I'd wait to buy them. I'd rather have a working part regardless of whether it has a warranty or not.

You don't know if it works until you install it.

My opinion is buy AC Delco. I get a price from Napa and then go to Ebay and shop. Napa offers me that baseline price to gauge what is a bargain and what isn't. Recently I bought an AC Delco rear wheel hub bearing for my Z06. Last year I went cheap and bought Detroit brand garbage. Lesson learned as I had to pay twice for the labor.

As far as water pump Rock Auto has Gates new, not rebuilt lifetime warranty about $66.00. I just got one and had installed in my 94 base coupe along with Delphi opti that was supplied by installer. Also did all new coolant hoses, knocks ,plugs ,wires, thermostat,Peak long life coolant.Car runs fantastic, also I removed radiator and flushed out fins and condenser core before bringing to shop, temps went way down compared to before work done.Shop said stay away from MSD.
