Default Flowmaster rear-y ?? about muffler connection

I ordered the rear-y from the forum mall (zip) and I assume this is a standard y-pipe as far as the angle of the pipe. They said it was a 2 1/2 size in/out, I'm going to put some 40 series delta flow 2 1/2 single center in/out mufflers and need to know what pipe I need to buy to connect the mufflers to the rear-y. Is it a 45 degree, 90 or somewhere in between. There are no shops here that do mandrel bent pipes so i was going to order the pre-bent mandrel ones that you can get from mail order and weld all this up myself.

Thanks

The rear Y-pipes in the MAD catalog simply Y off and terminate in two straight sections. Then their mufflers have a bent pipe into the front that slips over the Y tubes.

Also, the tubes may be 2 1/4"; all the MAD FlowMaster mufflers also have 2 1/4" inlets.

Thanks, I'm just going to order a 90 degree mandrel bent pipe and if I need to bend it a little I'll take the torch to it. They told me the "high performance y-pipe" was a 2 1/2 outlet so the 40 series mufflers I got are as well. If they are wrong I can alway get a reducer, I'm getting out the mig welder anyways. The main cat may mysteriously get a pipe welded down the middle of it while I'm down there.

Just FYI, a new flowmaster rear y-pipe is about 80 dollars from summit. I have been running it since I first got my Vette about 9 months ago and it has held up great even in some of the harshest rusting conditions in the world. The fit is excellent too. The whole catback from summit is around 350, if I remember correctly and come with the y-pipe. both mufflers and the hardware to install.
