700r4 transmission help needed
I was changing the oil on my 86 Vette today and searching for an apparent trans fluid leak. As I inspected I noticed 2 small wiring harnesses running down the drivers side of the trans. One looked like it went to a speed sensor and the other was midway to a socket. Both had the insulation burned off. Does anyone know what they are, where I can get new ones and the likely cause of the burnt wires?

Post a pic of the damage for better suggestions, if it's not bad why not just splice in some new wire & zip-tie it up farther? Socket one I'm assuming is the converter lock up connector. My wires are tucked up nice on my 86.
