Okay, I'm not going to gut the cats. I will completely remove them and put pipe in their place. Now can anyone tell me if this will affect the 02 sensors that are in front of the cats on a 93. Also, can anyone tell me some info on the Hypertech Thermomaster chip. Is it programable? Does it change the redline, and to what rpm? Do you recommend it or what is your prefference?
It may affect the sensors. With the exhaust passing more quickly, it might not heat the sensors enough. On my L98 it was not an issue however, I am unsure about your LT1 (assumed). Do a search for heated O2 sensors. Some of the guys have used them. As for the chip, don't waste the money. You can probably find someone local to do a custom burn for you. If not, Ed Wright (fastchip.com) is the best of the aftermarket providers.

Unsure of effect on cats. Never tried it. You could always install Radom bullet cats. They flow good enough to appear not there and still retain emissions. The Hyper chip isn't worth the money. Changes fan temps, adds spark timing (which the ECM will remove when it detects spark knock). It does not change the redline. You don't want to mess with redline unless you have a better cam/spring combo or risk serious engine damage.
My preference was to buy some gear that will allow me to learn to burn my own chips. Ed comes highly recommended from others, I have no experience with him. Welcome to the forum. :seeya
