I have the ZZ9 with my Miniram. I am happy with the performance but I think the ZZ-409 would be better. If I didn't get the great deal on my ZZ9 when I got it, I would have done the ZZ-409
the zzx cam is almost too big for a hyd. lifter the zz409 cam is almost perfect for a street / strip MR engine, the 409 isn't really all too far off the grind i have & i'm just thrilled peak power is rougly 6200-6400rpm by seat of the pants feeling & i shift at 6500 with a rev limiter set at 6700. the one thing i do like about the MR is it killls some of the low rpm torque, on a 6spd car it's definatly nice. with the old TPI the engine woke up so fast it was all but impossible to get traction on street meat. as it sits with the MR i can drive 10mph, punch it & have traction till roughly 4500rpm, once i get in the power band it just breaks loose. with a little skill i can keep it planted but i definatly know i'll be running faster ET's with better rubber !!
