Default 15" wheels on rear ?

I know I can be done. I remember something about having to grind on the caliper, but can't picture it in my head. Also, drag racing guys, how big of a tire have you fit on there?

I'm running 15s on rear. I have 12 inch rotors and we grinded the fins down on caliper. I'm running a 275/60/15 and 28x10.5

..... No grinding calipers/no clearance issues ... 87 Vette with 15x8" Weld Pro Stars running a 275/50/15 Mickey Thompson Drag Radial or 15x10's with 26 x 10.00 ET Drag Slicks ... I have had 28 x 10.50's on it but with the taller tires you have to set the bump stops to keep the fenders off the tires . I found I was launching on the stops and went back to the shorter tires to let the suspension do its thing ... the pic below shows a wheels-up launch on the 15x8 Pro Stars that are for sale on this forum with the Drag Radials mounted .....

wondering how much work I'm going to have to do to get 315 drag radial under it. I'm about to start working on it for drag week (2018).

Looking to go 8's at drag week. Race brakes will come, but I gotta get the car running/driving first.

15x10 7.5 backspace and a 5/16 spacer. I ran 11.5x28x15 ET Slick. Fit fine. If you have the larger brakes you do need to grind the fins on the calipers. I used the same tire rim with both the IRS and the solid rear. I always wanted to try a 9" radial stocker tire on my car but never got to do it. Hope this helps.

that it would. My car has been stored for the last 4 years (getting married and starting a family will do that). It's a basket case. I'm working on some CAD drawings for trying to bullet proof the D44 (I have some ideas that I've learned from our C3 stocker). Going to do a turbocharged LS motor and turbo 400 (with trans crossmember). It's going to be a street car, but I want to run drag week with it at some point. I'd put a straight axle in it, but that will put me in a class that I'd have to run mid 7's to compete in. We've got one serious race car, this is for fun
