Default Gas Leak

Hey Y'all,

I am helping a friend with his 1996 C4. Replaced the Fuel Assembly Unit and now there is a visible gas leak on the passenger side near the front wheel well. Followed the fuel line from the engine down to this area, there is a connection there. Could an O-ring be the source of the leak?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The area where you are seeing the leak is where the fuel filter is located. There are o-rings on the lines and you may as well replace the filter while you're in there. Do a Search on the procedure as there again some tricks to make it easier and minimise the amount of gas you lose doing it. Good luck. BTW, I assumed when you said "Fuel Assembly Unit" you were referring to the fuel pump...

Yes it is the fuel pump & sender assembly unit. Thank you. I'll let you know what we find after the weekend. We won't get to work on it again until then. Thank you for your help.

If your tank is full clamp or pull the hose by the tank or you might get a bath.

Default Gas Leak

How many O-rings are there, including any for the fuel filter?
