Is there a way to keep my digital dash on my 86 Corvette bright at night time

Never tried it but what about putting a piece of black tape over the light sensor on the instrument cluster and see what happens?

That's backwards. When the sensor sees darkness, it dims the dash lights. You need the dash lights brighter in the daytime so you can see them better.

You could shine a flashlight into the sensor at night! That should make them brighter. That might be a good test!

Als86, are you sure all four light bulbs in the dash are good?

Switch over to LED back light. I did mine and they are much brighter at night but not too bright and they don't really dim. I used the kit offered at www.batee.com and have been very happy with it. Another nice side benefit is that it stops all heat related damage to the cluster from the standard bulbs.

I have tried the headlight switch to brighten it with no results only the information center lights brightened and dimmed, never thought about LED I might give that a try and look into it , what number is the bulb?

I put this kit into mine and it is much brighter. Be carefull with the small ones they tend to be stuck pretty good and they don't have new holders. I twisted them out without a break.
