Short in fan switch causing high idle?
This is what I've found out but don't know why or how. First I have a 180 deg. switch and have noticed that the temps will rise over 200 the same time my idle speed wants to stay above 1000-1100 rpms. Twice I've gotten under the hood to notice the fan blowing at half speed. When I play with the switch plug-in the fan jumps to high speed and the idle starts to drop to normal along with the temps. :confused: Why the high idle when the fan shorts out?
