Default cam comparision

L98 1991

I recently installed a competition cam 8-302-8 with 1.6 rr, the reason of why I choose 8302-8 over 8-304-8 was because I already have the 1.6rr and I red that the max lift with oem heads is .525

Competition Cams
Model Number .05" Duration 1.5:1 Lift 1.6:1 Lift Lobe Sep.

08-302-8 210/220 .480/.480 .512/.512 112deg
08-304-8 210/220 .500/.510 .533/.544 114deg

10111773 OEM 202/207 .413/.428 .441/.457 114.5

At numbers is almost the same but I supose the difference will be the lobe sep

big diference over the oem cam

Sounds stock, idles great at 750 rpm, I supose that 8-302-8 with 1.6rr is a better option for me than 8-304-8 with 1.5rr at this moment

Im joining parts for a few years but I cant afford yet the heads, then Im using the parts that I already have
Probably this cam combo will be mild for new heads

mods
accel big mouth base heavily ported to 190cc (little siamese)
slp siamese runners ported and siamese in both sides
hooker headers
1.6 rr
comp cam 8-302-8
lt4 springs
custom prom (harris)
2200 stall converter
3.54 rear end

same duration, more lift, the diference here is 2 degree of lobe separation 2.5 degree less than oem

with oem chip idle quality is poor, with custom chip idle quality is like oem, I supose map is sensible to this changes
