Interior light in the knee bolster. Near the OBD connector.
So nothing super important. The car won't start and now it won't crank after replacing the starter switch. The battery is on a jump box and the alternator should be fine. Ideas?

I don't know that I've ever seen ORANGE mentioned as LIGHT BROWN but the observation as to footwell lamp is correct.
By starter switch do you mean the ignition switch on the column (has 2 connectors to it) or do you mean key cylinder in the top of the column?
The VATS looks like it was defeated in the sheath to the right in your snapshot BUT it certainly looks odd like when dropping the column it's been pulled and forced out of the way. The resistor(s) are likely under the heat-shrink or is that some other harness/wire that's been whacked?
