IIRC, 1995s used the OBD II style connector, so that may be different. Also I _believe_ that GM introduced OBD II into 1995 models at the end of the production run.

94 and 95 both had the ob2 connector and were both ob1 ob2 did not start to 96.
Just another data point so you don't feel like you're courting "disaster." I've done this myself. Pins 4 and 12 are your ticket. And it will give you codes for all modules on your car.
OBD 1.5 eh? I had access to a Tech2 once upon a time which on a 90' was able to test/change a helluva lot of things which I think Wiki indicates is the only tool that will do that? I've considered buying an offshore copy but many say they don't work or are not long lived.
The paper clip is showing no codes on a 58K base 95 after an AAA ride with no spark. Thank you for digging these out!
I don't know. You see, I have an Auto X-ray. However, that company is bought over by Actron. Actron does NOT work on my 91 but I am not sure if it works on your 95 anymore. So, here is my choice for you.
1. Go to Autozone and buy their scanner from Actron and if it doesn't work, return it
2. Get a used SnapOn MT2500 with the appropriate modules and cable
3. ALDL droid that hooks into your phone.
Reason for all of this is that it is not enough to read the code. As an EXAMPLE, if your ambient temperature is 70, your engine should be 70 degrees cold. So, if the sensor is bad and says your coolant temp is NEGATIVE 20 degrees, is it plausible? Absolutely. Is it correct? Nope. Will it throw a code? Doubtful. So paper clip all you want but the value is plausible but incorrect and if it doesn't throw a code, you go home happy that it is fine.

Correct. What that means is that none of the sensor values are outside of plausible range. Again, doesn't mean it is correct. Just plausible.
