Default Need some advice about auto transmissions

I just checked my tranny fluid, and there was a slight bit of foam at the very top of the full mark. It was maybe 3 or 4 bubbles. Not really foamy, but bubbles none the less. Is this normal? Fluid level is right were it should be for a hot tranny.

I'm also going to service the transmission next weeekend. Any advice on that one? Looks fairly straightforward. I have a slight leak. Looks like it's coming from the front of the transmission. Might be the pan seal, might not be. I'm betting the pan seal myself as it seems the last owner had someone do all the maintenance for him, so I wouldn't doubt if the pan was a little bent out of shape.

Also, it appears that the pan was lightly scraped over something at one point in time. I just noticed it today, while I was under the car to clean the pan area off so I could spot my little drip.

Thanks for your time and attention
