There don't seem to be as many people selling carbon fiber hoods for C4's and those selling them have raised the prices. LPE wan't $3600 and exotic muscle is up to $2500.
Any one know of others out there with better prices and are street car grade.
Phil, I enjoyed the Hoover site when you put it together, awesome job with great results.
If you get a street car grade carbon fiber hood won't you then mostly have looks vs weight savings? If I remember right the carbon fiber hood saves ~ 70 lbs max, less weight savings if street quality.
If you do get the carbon fiber hood are you going to paint it, or leave it raw (hey, paint has weight too!).
Thanks Red 90, those are the sites I was looking for!
Sorry about the lack of updates on the Hoover site, but I really haven't made any updates to Hoover. I just drive it and race it. Heck, I haven't even freshened the trans in 2 1/2 years. I'll come up with something soon.
J&D Corvette has them, you can get any % of carbon fiber blend you want, depending on how much you want to spend. They are in southern CA and the number is 1-800-838-8353. Since they make them at their shop, you might find the best deal there.
