Default Tires (Flat Spots)?

I will be away from home for seven weeks and was wondering how long before radial tires will start to develope flat spots. I live in southern California. Does temperature make a diff?

7wks, youll have some flat spotting. It would be nice if you could put the car up on jackstands. I think Temp does make a little difference, but theyll still flat spot a little.

Depends on your tire compounds also. My michelin's which are very soft get some flat spots after a couple of days. After about 20 miles on the freeway, they are fine though. I would imagine that for an extended time, such as 7 weeks, you would be very unhappy with the way your car rode for a few days. I'd put it up on stands or try out some tiresavers.

I still have the orignal gatorbacks on my "91" and I think I have flat spots because with just over 20k on the clock and 4k of this comming in the last year and when I go over 80 I get just a slight shimmy not bad but very slight or maybe just a balance will help.

I park mine on 2" thick Blue Styrofoam SM insulation. Just buy a panel, cut it into 4 and drive up on them. Its nice and quick & they take the shape of the tire. I park mine like this over winter and have never had problems.
