1991 motor mount remove and replace video
When I tried to remove my serpentine belt and found that the crank pulley was too close to the frame to get the belt out, I suspected that the motor mounts were shot. I did remove and replace them during the winter months. Here is a picture of the good one next to the 26 year old part. New is on the left and the old one on the right. Notice the condition of the rubber, new vs. old.
When I was looking for a video on how to do it, I could not find one, so I cooked up my own for anyone else tackling this task.
Here it is for anyone interested.
Hope it is helpful. Changing the mounts raised the engine by about 3/8" of an inch.
