Default Crate engine with TPI for 1985 HELP!

Hi, my 1985 Corvette engine was seized and there's no hope in rebuilding it. I'm looking for a crate engine that would fit. I've gone on Chevy performance and I was even suggested Jasper engines by my mechanic. I have a budget of around $5000 for the engine. I'm going to be using his car as a daily driver and my minimum preferred horse power would be about 300 hp. I honestly don't mind if it's a 350 or 383 stroker. I don't want to go with a carb. Thanks for any help.

I would go with a GM crate, 383.

Pace, Jegs, Summit and Blueprint all have crate engines.

Depending on your mechanical skills you can transfer the top half of the engine to save money. If the top half is working ok.

I went 383 with a carb. I then went to a 6 speed stick.

Summit has a GM ZZ350 short block for 2600. Send your heads out to be milled and have a valve job, then bolt all your stuff back together.
