The FWD LAMP HARNESS attaches to the bulkhead just like I mentioned and posted a snapshot of a "similar" connector. If the FWD LAMP HARNESS was unbolted/removed from the C100 bulkhead you would only need to work forward from there and across the front of the car to remove. You unplug components as you go.

You started a thread a very long time ago about the bulkhead C100 - JoeC posted in that same thread a "clean C100" - YOU CUT NOTHING - NOTHING!!!

I just looked and I had already supplied the link in #7.

I need detailed pictures of the headlight motors and linkages on a stock 1984 corvette, I also need detailed pictures of the connectors for the car where the headlight wiring harness connects at the various locations on the car. As long as those haven't been messed with I think I'm good.

I need some pictures of everywhere the headlight harness connects to on car. To make sure only the harness has been butchered. Any1 can help me with that? 84 vette base coupe.

There's something wrong with the Fiero site pictures. As I said in my previous post, the early Corvette motors are drastically different than the late Corvette motors. The pictures in the Fiero site show them as very similar.

The early motors have limit switches inside them, and have three wires. The late motor control is electronic, controlled by a module that detects the high load current when the doors hit their end stops. Totally different, and the motors have only two wires!

Here's the diagram for the early ('84 - '87) motors:

There is such a jumble of wiring harnesses in my '84 (which is totally stock), pictures would not help you. If you're serious about this conversion, you'll need a donor car sitting right beside your car to sort things out!! If he's smart, no "standard " mechanic would touch this!! Hours and hours and hours and hours of work!!!

So guys help me sort this out and help me determine if i have this right. the 88-90 corvette headlight motors appear to be interchangeable with a fiero (which is what I have ) and the early model ones have 3 wires which mine only has 2. which would explain why there are fuses and fuseable links down around the motors adding in whats missing from the original harness. So why can I not just yank out the cobbled harness switch it back to original motors and replace it with a legit stock harness? what would keep me from fixing it that way? Also I do realize I need to find out what has been done if anything under the dash as far as cutting into the original wiring but thats a separate problem at this time. Am I on the right track?

I think he did it so as not to have to replace the relays... honestly its all i can think of. Or the fact that fiero motors are 100 bucks less expensive per motor.

A guy like that might be tempted to chop off his fingers because he was tired of trimming his fingernails!

Post 6 pic #3, and post 14 pics #2 & #9 show that your friendly butcher was busy on your radiator fan relay, too! What else have you found? Have you looked behind the center panel in the dashboard? What else doesn't work, or works funny? I see that your RH horn is missing.

I'll take some more pictures for you.

There is a manual toggle for the cooling fan. it comes on auto as well as a toggle switch to turn it on manually inside car. The cooling fan does work as intended but with the added toggle. No the Horn does not work. Im mainly concerned with the headlights. No i have not looked behind any panel on the dashboard. I think Im afraid to. 1 step at a time the worst first. At this point in time the only thing/things that dont work right are the light system in the front of the car the horn and my cigarette lighter outlet.(works for lighter not for phone charger) Like I said the FAn does come on at the correct temp by its'self but can also be turned on manually. Some of the wires you see up by battery and at firewall used to go to a amp and probably sub woofer in the back storage compartments. these will be removed and not re added. so keep that in mind.

I guess all hope is gone. I could try to explain it but I don't have the energy and it doesn't matter. I guess I'll just part the car out and try to get some money out of it. I've lost so much money. I feel like vomiting. I'll have lost around 4 grand depending on how much of it sells and on how much it sells for.

If it were me i would just start out fixing all of his connections and doing wire traces with an ohm meter.
i would assume that it worked at one time, however with those silly looking connections, i bet it's a bad crimp, or corrosion in a connection or 10.
