this is the edelbrock SY1 intake they are all cross fire guys make modified tops for and are wanting to swap too because the stock intake runs out of air at 4000rpm as its designed to work at 1000-3000rpm
the stock crossfire intake has a very hard time getting to 360hp. the unported SY1 can suport 475-500hp just add an 850 holley
btw the correct matching cam for the SY1 is,

heres one,with the top on.
they are out of production but are available on EBAY for $350-$450 depending on condition
don,t beleive how bad the chevy intake is? look for yourself
this is the inside of the stock crossfire intake ,
heres a custom top on the SY1 that lets a former crossfire equiped engine screem with the other correct mods

btw for those of you that don,t like the idea of a hood scoop, a custom top added to a SY1 with a throttle body and injectors aimed at the intake port entrances would easily fit under the c-4 hood and would most likely perform better than most other intake options due to its large strait ports building great torque and haveing the airflow necassary to reach 500hp even with a carb.HEY just an Idea (one I wish Id though of earlier )as the steath ram performance is GREAT :D but cutting up the hood has its downside in that people expect to see youve got something far from stock under the hood :rolleyes:
