Need some build advice.
94 C4, doing all the work myself minus any machining to clean up the block.
This is merely a second fun car, I don't mind pushing the boundaries on stock components as this is a second car, if it goes down eventually, no biggie. It's also a learning tool as I am a mechanical apprentice.
I plan on long tube headers, with true duals + x pipe.
I will be getting it tuned, so I have plates to block off egr/air is going away because of the headers.
So far I have been leaning on this LT4 kit from jegs. $1123

My question to everyone here is, can I put that 1200 to better use on a better cam/engine components then what come's in that kit?
I liked the cc503 but would need a stall converter, which I would be fine with. $1200 isn't my budget but this is a car that will be driving maybe 10 miles a night, I don't want to sink 5k+ into it at this point.
Car is auto with 2.90(5?) gearing.

Personally I would not get that kit.
If your on a budget and want good power... well that's easy a LE 1.5 -2.0 setup.
