Default 87 Spoiler Question (again)

I purchased replacement spoiler parts and they don't seem to fit very well. The center spoiler attaches to the radiator lower air baffle (replaced) and the radiator lower air baffle attaches to the main radiator shroud. With the radiator lower air baffle pushed up as far as it will go, the center spoiler is about 1" too low. The new side spoiler(s) can be installed almost but not quite correctly... i.e.- when bolted to the bumper it will hit the face guard and pull down on the bumper. Do all of these 87's have this type of misalignment issues with the front spoiler pieces? This whole setup looks like poop. How is this remedied?

A fellow local here many years ago had similar issues and I found that there was a mix of various parts/hardware used in a collision repair and some didn't match. I believe that I matched the lower "painted" deflector and the 2 brackets that it attaches to on the ends and after that, all was well.

The pieces that were "mixed" were #'s 20 through 26. Once I confirmed them all to be correct I had no issues. Part #'s best I recall were on all of the parts. These were I believe the key parts #25 L & R 14058299 & 14058300 and #26 14058370.

I didn't know the OEM parts were still available from GM. I bought mine from aftermarket suppliers and they are not GM. The OEM marked parts that came off the car 14043136 RH, 14043135 LH, 14043137 center all line up perfectly with the top edge and contours/cutouts of the aftermarket parts.... and this is where I am having the issue as seen in the picture. My OEM parts are all massacred so I don't have a good reference. I would need a magic wand to make these fit correctly.

How about a heat gun and some massaging?

If you look at the picture, you can see a 1 inch gap between the center spoiler and the spot where it has to go to match up with the side (left & right) spoiler(s). The center spoiler is attached to the lower radiator shroud which is up as far as it can go. Maybe I can get better parts from China. LOL

The two metal skid extensions are pretty badly mangled from hitting curbs. I am now wondering if these have been shoved up and out of position.

I had to redo all of the skid-plates and the supports on the car I did. I believe we replaced one side supports and the damage was obvious. The guy had a few braces and skid-plates that he had bought local. Once I got past the fact it was very different than my '90 I did pretty well.

Looked at it more closely.... looks like the skids have been pushed up. I believe I have to pull the front bumper to fix this. It's gonna have to wait. Too many things on my plate right now. Thanks for the replies.
