Default How does one fix a pinched fuel line?

The line is pinched at the final bend going into the rail on a standard 91 vette. Any suggestions would be appdreciated. Thanks in advance.

The propper way is to replace it. The quick fix way is to go to an auto parts store (I know Advanced Auto has them) and get the proper size metal tubing. Go to a specialty hardware store and get two compression fittings, the good stainless steel ones not the brass ones (brass ones will bend and leak). Rent a bender from the auto parts store and bend the tubing to fit where you want it, cut out the bent piece and place the new piece in its place using the compression fittings. Make sure the fittings are tight and turn the key on to pressurize the system and check your fittings. Also check them evey day or two for a couple weeks to insure that they don't start leaking. It is also good to flang the ends of the tubing to ensure a good seal, but it is not necessary.

Yes I have done this on my car and it has lasted for 5 years.

With a steel line, you cannot bend it back or pinch it back. It will crack. So,
you have to replace it or splice it. Replacing it is preferred. It is a short line, so the cost should be minimal.
