Default Proper Trim Height

I'm in the process of refreshing my 90s suspension. I'm almost ready to put everything together, but keep noticing in my FSM that it states before torquing the bolts to "hold suspension at proper Trim height". The car is on axle stands at the moment. What am I supposed to do?
Thanks!

I'm assuming this can be done by putting a jack stand under the control arms to substitute the tire/load?

I would mount the tires/wheels and let the car's weight rest on the wheels. After pushing down on each corner several times to let the suspension settle, then tighten. Obviously to get the room to do this, you'll probably need to set it up on four ramps or other improvised supports under the tires.

Check the wheel alignment portion of the manual. For my 87 FSM, page 3A-8 shows what to do. The manual says to do exactly what LTxDave said, with some measurements to verify the height.

*Importantly (and worth reiterating), the car must be level.

Thanks. I found the section in my FSM, but was wondering if there was a different way.
