Default Brake question...Rotors

Ive got an 87 Auto and the rear rotors appear to have been scraped by the caliper for some reason :mad I think there was a problem with the pads. I recently replaced my front rotors with new ones and the ones I took off were a little old...but worked non the less. Is it possible for me to replace the rear rotors with the old front ones??? If so how hard is it?

No, It will not fit. The front pads are larger than the rear pads even though the rotors have the same diameter. Beside, the front and rear brake caliper are different also. It only cost ~$25 for the rear pads at pepboy if you don't want to spend too much money.

The rear rotors have a small drum on the inside for the parking brake on an 87 so they aren't interchangable. The caliper bolts and the caliper bracket bolts may need to be checked for tightness and make sure the pads are centered in the caliper correctly.

Probably need to be replaced and not reground also. I'd put on new shoes as this is the only thing that should be touching the rotors.
