Operation: Water Pump (Jeff Kopp is the man!)
Just finished installing a brand new GM water pump (Jeff!, Jeff!, Jeff!) using the tech tips I found on this forum. Installation was straight forward. The only thing that I notice about that procedure is that it doesn't cover reconnecting the fuel lines to the fuel rail after the AC Compressor bracket is re-installed. I was also able to re-do my Throttle Body Bypass hose. Amazing how much extra room there is with out the Air Solenoid Switch, etc. in the way! Since I'm getting ready to drive from WA to FL in a couple of days, I also changed the rear end fluid, tranny fluid & filter, and cleaned up/re-painted the "X"-brace. At any rate, the only thing I've got left to do on the water pump job is "burp" the coolant system. Have a great weekend.
