Default wiper delay

How are 84-87 wiper delay motors different from 88-96 wiper delay motors

They added a ground to the motor connector in 88, so it's 3 wire instead of 2 on the older ones. The cover/delay is the same as far as I know.

Must have added the extra ground wire because the switch can get wet when opening the door in a rain storm and corrode. My 88 wiper control was slow to operate so I bought a new one before they were discontinued. Added a LED light and I like my new switch.

Got any photos of how you did the LED? I like the idea.

Dt, I will tomorrow night an post. The LED light really lights up the wiper switch. I have a LED for my automatic shift light too. My 88 sits on top of a lift. This fall I plan on preparing my 88 for new paint.

Sorry this a crappy pic. No flash used
To anyone that has to go behind the door panel, if there is a light there, switch it to a LED. The light is much brighter and not yellow tinted. Especially if you drive your C4. I like LED's for the shift indicator and my Flameball shifter.

Thanks for posting a photo. Its clearly much brighter and way easier to read the letters. Any recommendation on led bulbs?

superbrightleds.com. They have every LED bulb and colors, even the tiny light bulb that is in the rearview mirror that shins down on the console shifter when the lights are on.
