I have a 95, LT1, 6 speed. I need to replace the oil temperature sender since the top (connector)
is broken off. How in the world do you get to the sender to get a wrench on it. I cant hardly get my hand and a mirror up there.
Did mine on the 88 this weekend, not a fun job. I believe the later cars are basically the same piece with a different electrical connector.
3/4" ratcheting wrench, no mirror, just feel for it. Its way easier if you have a lift or can get the car well up in the air to get some leverage and be able to see it.
Thanks Guys for the tips. I will try a ratchet wrench. I do have a Kwik Lift so up in the air is no issue. For sure I am not paying a dealer to change it for big bucks.
I also need to r+r my temp sender, it's leaking, should I remove oil filter adapter first for better access? Also I think my oil pressure sender is leaking and need to r+r.
