I got the Eckler's unit and it was AC/Delco. It was good quality, perfect fit.
I bought my AC Delco 2 mos ago from AutoZone for $62. I think the strainer was $7.
With all the garbage that was in my fuel filter as well as a suspect level indicator, I figure changing the entire unit is a safer bet than just doing the pump and filter alone.

A lot of $$$$ for something that may not ever fail

Did you see the thread with the pic of the fuel filter? You replied to the thread, so I assume you did see it. In the grand scheme of things $325. is cheap insurance in my opinion as well as knowing all the components are new. Thats just me I guess...
I tend to agree. I'd do the pump, strainer, and fuel filter then call it a day.
Already ordered the entire unit.... I like doing a job one time if I can, not being exploratory if you will. When I get into a system, whether, brakes, cooling, fuel, whatever.... I look the entire system over and replace anything questionable. To me, considering the sandy sludge crap I found in the fuel filter, I feel like I'm playing it safe replacing all the involved parts.

if you REALLY want to do it right I'd buy a new fuel pressure regulator, a new cold start valve, and ditch the Multecs ASAP.

That is definitely on the agenda.... I plan on going through every part if the car and finding what needs attention, then fixing or replacing what needs to be attended to. I'm trying to make the car as close to running, performing and looking as good as it was when new. Its 31 years old, but only 34k miles, so the appearance portion is really the easy part. Honestly, after the fuel pump deal, there's the injectors and accompanying parts for that job, and its close to 100% I've done alot of work on it already, and if you've followed my threads on here, you know that already.
