What controls how tall?
A while back I bought an 89 project car. This one is a coupe and sits over 1 inch taller on each end than my 87 roadster which actually has higher profile tires. I wonder if a new or different spring was added because both rear tires are worn notably more on the outside as though its been walking like a jacked up VW. Is this an adjustment or whats going on? I realize an alignment man can fix this but I'm curious as to how it got this way.

Check the rear spring bolt and nut. That controls part of the rear camber setting. The other is at the rear spring where the rear tie rods link to the diff housing. Make sure that the pads are installed correctly. May have had a quick rear end swap done.
