Broken. Any ideas?
94 automatic vette. All stock except exhaust (cat delete) that i know of. Bought it about two months ago. Put 1000 miles on top of the 113k that were already on it. It Abruptly quit on me as i was trying to pass someone probably going 75. Sputtered with no reaction from the gas pedal. Pulled over. Turned it off and started it a few times while it barely stayed alive sputtering still until i heard what seemed like a small release of air. Seemed to come from the intake area but not positive. Seems like it's starving for fuel. Gauges or lights not showing any problems except low oil pressure but that gauge has been a lil loopy since i got it. Ideas? Thanks

..... Check the usual suspects ... fuel pressure and spark ... your fuel pump may have surrendered , the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm may be ruptured , Ignition Control Module , OR the dreaded Opti Spark .....

Check for the sound of the fuel pump for 2 seconds at key-on. And for a good stream of gas at the Schrader valve before the fuel rail.If the fuel pump is original, it's at the mileage that failure is a distinct possibility.
