Help! Headers.

If they fit and allow easy access to the plugs, yes. If they are anything like what was on my F-body which took a lot of work to slip in for a "bolt on" application, no. If I have to loosen the engine mounts to make it work, it isn't "bolt on". It is a "shoehorn" item.

I dunno how they will fit. Hoping it would be good, because of the name.
It was one of those spur of the moment, buy it or lose it, kinda things.
Gave 240 for them..

I did run that set on my 89, the fitment was pretty good and accessibility to the spark plugs was as expected...no issues. what we did do was weld an o2 bung to the collector and plugged the one that was on one of the primary tubes. car was all emission legal and ran 11.80's with some head/intake work, gears and tires and a dfi tune.

For $240, it is cheap enough that if you have to struggle a little and have a hoist, I suppose it is worth it. As an example, I couldn't R&R my starter. If I did, it would come out hard and be impossible to get in if you are laying on the floor. OTOH, if you have a hoist, life is good. My TPIS headers can allow the plugs to be removed with no fuss at all so since I have no hoist, it is a huge plus.

Little worried about the plug angle now. But, it's like you said, it seemed cheap enough I just had to try it.

I suspect they should fit fine. Hooker is a big name that has been around a long time with some good products.
There is a lot of room for headers on our C4's. For a tight fit try putting Hooker Super Comp's on a 421 '64 GTO. There is no room. The exhaust ports point right at the frame and are close to it. To get big tubes they used whatever space they could. They were a pain to install, but they worked great. There was so little room that I could not change the oil filter without lifting the motor some to get the filter out. I do not expect that amount of difficulty with our C4's. Hopefully they will go in fine.
Good luck.

You don't have to pull your dipstick tube so that's a plus! Plan on getting shorty plugs and definitely fab up braces for your alt and a/c brackets because they will crack if you don't. Also I would recommend getting a hitachi starter because the early ones are titanic gigantic!

Are vortec heads angle plug or straight plug style? Angle plug headers on a straight plug head have some plug installation and wire issues. Nothing a hammer and dolly can't fix, but the won't "fall on". A few well placed dents are required. Worth the money you spent.

So, I dunno.. I hope they work.
It may be a thing where nobody has this combination and I just have to try them and see.

for the money Id try them. If you need to clearance get the biggest socket you can find, put a towel between it and the header, use a BFH pound at a slight angle, it will kind of "flatten" the area rather than look smashed wont affect performance at all.
Feel your pain
1-3/4 equal length (mistake!), scattershield and kicked out pan on my A body. Have to loosen header and colector bolts just to get a tiny wix on/off.
To remove the pass side Id have to pull the motor half way out
Putting them in wiht the starter out seems easiest.
