New owner w/headlight switch problem?
Hi, I've been shadowing this board for the past six month or so and just got my first Vette based on the info I learned from you guys. It's a charcoal grey 89 coupe, auto with 3.07 rear.
Love the car but I'm having an odd problem with it, I think it may be the headlight switch. When you pull the switch to the first stop, nothing happens. When you pull it out all the way without the foglights on, only the headlights work, both high and low beam. No marker lights or center cluster lights (Where the little switches are located) or dinging noise. Turning on the foglights with the lowbeam has no effect, BUT if the foglights are turned on with the highbeam, then the taillight, marker lights, foglights, center cluster lights, and the headlight warning dinger come on. Do you guys think it's the switch or a bad wire somewhere or maybe something else.
