91 convertible grounds
I'm slowly working my way through the list of issues on my car. Working on the popper/solenoid for the convertible hatch right now. Iv'e got power to the connector for both sides, but i have no ground. I verified with a volt meter and a long jumper that there's no continuity from what should be the ground to the battery. the PO swapped engines, so i have no idea what he left off on this. Where would the ground for this be attached? Engine, bellhousing (auto trans)..? Cig lighter has no ground, bose radio turns on/off no sound and antenna stuck down too. I have the FSM, but i can't locate where it says the grounds attach. lol
Thanks
Don

Roof I'd think at 8A-121-0 and information on pages following.
For most components there's also diagnostic charts following the components. For operation of solenoids etc related to top there's maybe 6 - 8 pages. Depends on year I believe.
Get familiar with the 8A-201 & the 8A-202 section of the FSM - they're likely the most useful sections of the FSM for a DIY guy!
Is your FSM the "books" or a CD .pdf?
