Default Phantom coolant leak dissapeared to ?

I had a pretty good coolant leak and then it just dissapeared.

Last Sat I took a 15 minute drive and as I was pulling into a parking, spot I smelled coolant. I got out and looked underneath....sure enough....coolant was dripping (practically a solid stream) from the cross-member under the engine on the right. I thought "Oh CR@P!!" and drove home. As I pulled into my driveway, I noticed the remains of a coolant puddle which I assume was from it leaking the previous night.
Shut it down, and no leak. Fired it back up, let it get up to temp and revved it to 4000rpm to get the water pump wound up and nothing. There was evidence of coolant on the right side of the engine puddled up at the intake and head. That night after it cooled, I topped the radiator off a fairly good amount and rinsed off all the puddled coolant on the intake.

I've checked for leaking coolant on the ground and intake before and after I drive anywhere the last few days.....nothing. Everyday I check the coolant level....it's good. The last couple of days it's gotten to the mid 90's....nothing. I've taken it on a few full throttle runs...nothing.

I'm going to replace my radiator cap (which is probably weak anyway) with an 17 or 18lb one to see if I can bring the leak back to pin point it. I'm suspecting the intake just needs resealed, but I'd hate to go through all that hassle for nothing. Before this I had never had a problem with leaking coolant and hadn't even had to top it off since flushing it almost 2 years ago.

Any ideas ?

Keep watching it....... My intake kept coming and going before I resealed it .... I also had that kind of leak on the BACK side of the water pump. Just a paper gasket. Rather than buy a higher pressure cap why not just pressure test the present cap and system?........... :seeya
