Default Vehicle Speed Sensor Question

My 94 auto has been leaking oil out of the speed sensor and slinging it underneath the car all the way out to the diff. I replaced it with a Napa part and the speedometer was going crazy on my test drive registering all kinds of weird numbers. I put the old back in and it seemed to work. Anyone else ever have any problems with the sensor? Cheap autoparts store parts suck, thought I would save ten bucks over Delco.

It is not the correct one. The vette uses a unique one unlike many of the ones in the other GM cars and trucks. See your GM dealer or email Jeff Kopp for the right part number.

Thanks for the help guys  I went to my local dealer and bought the part, it works perfect now. I guess you guys are right that the vette uses a different one than other LT1 motors but I thought the people at Napa would know this.
