got the cooling probs straightened out yesterday, now the brakes take a nose dive....I'm really really hoping that the calipers have have bottomed out on travel as the pads are pretty much down to the backing plates. I pulled the resevoir cap and found that the bladder was inside out... No leakages though either around or behind the booster....taking ideas
pedal goes to the floor.. after sitting, i get some pressure back but repeated pumping sends it back to the floor again.. but.. oddly enough.. not getting a brake light warning... probably needs a nose bleed
Time to get to work......Lot's in front of you......but after you'll be happier....Do the work yourself.......better than someone else, although sometimes not cheaper...
0kay.. got it.. primary piston in the master cylinder plunged and froze up... replacing the master cylinder cylinder today and doing a complete douche on the system... going ahead and replacing the pads while i'm at it since I have to take the wheels off anyway to bleed the rear out.
musta sat for too long so i can't blame this one on bubba :U
replaced the master cylinder, replaced the pads, douched the entire system and things are looking up.. but.. i would've liked to replace the resevoirs while i was at it but can't seem to find one....master cylinder was a reman so i didn't get a new resevoir or low fluid sensor...anybody know who sells those two items?
