1989 corvette transmission issue

Default 1989 corvette transmission issue
I feel like my transmission shifts too early. I've never seen over 4k unless I'm manually shifting from 1st to 2nd. Even when I mat it, it still shifts at abour 3800. Is this the way the 700r4 is supposed to act or is something up with mine?

tv cable may need adjusting. Ron at TRC trans in Chatsworth is a top notch trans guy you can trust

It's just as well as the TPI runs out of air at 4K anyways.

First.. Try adjusting your TV cable. Have someone hold throttle to the floor (engine off) and adjust for max tension at that point.
