I have a 94 C4 LT1 six speed manual, I change the battery to a Optima Deep Cycle battery and noticed a diffrence in power. Now my car sputters when fully gas it in 4th-6th gear. In six gear the car will feel like the engine is shaking a little and hesitating and not getting enough power. I can not gas it fully I must gradutely give it gas then the car will accerlate, but the like before. Is this a spark plug issue?
I really don't think a different battery should cause the issues noted as long as you're making a good electrical contact between the cables and battery plus the battery is charged up.
Now something I have seen before is the ridge on the cables prevented a good contact between the cable connection and the battery. Quick test that worked for me was getting a couple of thin copper washers that went between the cable and battery to insure that the thing wasn't bottoming out prior to a good connection. Takes just a few minutes and it's either good or not.
Maybe new to manual trans use? I think you may be lugging the engine = not enough engine rpm for the amount of throttle applied.
Suggest 2000 rpm minimum for full throttle apply in 4th & 5th or downshift.
6th is a cruise/gas mileage gear don't use it until 65mph if the road is flat. If hilly leave it in 5th.
I agree with this. Cruising the flat highways in my area, around 65 in 6th gear (~1600 RPM), I get better acceleration from light throttle. Full throttle gives too much air for the engine at those RPMs. These engines have torque but not mountains of torque.
By the comments, your problem may be elsewhere but I wanted to chime in.

Changing a battery isn't going to cause the car to have engine problems unless during the change you somehow managed to short out the ECM. Check to see if you're getting any codes.

I run my '93 in 6th on the level at speeds 35 mph. You can feel it if you need to shift down. Last year I installed a vacuum gauge to give more accurate engine condition.
If I stay off gas pedal I can get over 30 mpg. I think if I had a 100 miles of level road, I could get over 40+mpg @ 35-40 mph.
