1995 Missing at 5000 rpm.

With my 95 I have been experiencing cutting out (bucking) at 5000 rpm and higher in 1st and 2nd. It does shift when fmorred and if backed off shifts poorly.

It would also be very helpful to know how many miles on your 95 and how many miles since the plugs & wires were replaced. any work done on the engine or ignition lately?

Depending on the accuracy of the tach you maybe hitting fuel shut off.

I should have typed "floored". It happens variably between 4600 & 5000 rpm. No ignition replacements other than new plugs. I have to let off gas to stop bucking and encourage shift. I'm thinking of replacing wires and then dustributor w/MSDI #84811 disrtib. and rotor kit or DELCO OPTI SPARK. 91150 miles 1995 LT1. Others have replaced wires to no effect but fixed with OPTI system.
