Default Edelbrock Hi-flow too base weight

Hey all, anyone know the weight of an untouched edelbrock hi-flow base manifold?

To be honest.. These days it seems people are bot really modifying and documenting these cars anymore.

I know the info is out there. Do a search or check stickies for the weights. I think Aardwolf had documented weight stuff like that.

Unless you are racing for points, I don't think it matters what it weighs. Maybe 18-20lbs?

Reason being is because we ported one and it flows about 290. A lot of metal was taken out and it would be fun to see the weight difference between untouched and what we did.

Try Edelbrock they gotta have that info somewhere unless somebody here has one they can weigh for you. Yours lost weight for sure edit: bet less than 2 lbs

Anxious to see your results it was awful stout before for a superram motor. You sure have put in the time and $

I'll get a hold of them on Monday, hopefully they still have that kind of information.

I would think a couple of handfuls of aluminum shavings would weigh very little because of the minimal weight of the material. If a manifold started out at 20lbs, the weight removed from porting would be in the ounces even though the volume may be large.
