1990 Bose CD problem
The only way to get the CD to start playing again is to recycle the ignition switch to off and back to on which restarts the CD from the beginning and it will work fine until the next bump.
Is there a source for the radio's schematic? I'm confident I can troubleshoot the problem if I had one.
Failing that, does anyone know if there is a shift register or similar device that stores a second or so of the audio stream? In other words, does this vintage Bose system integrated CD player have a delay circuit that stores a small amount of data which is used to mask the loss of signal from the CD player when a bump is hit (and then recover and resume decoding the data stream when it comes back after the bump is no longer causing loss of signal)?
Thanks for any suggestions, war stories with a troubleshooting technique that resulted in a fix, or other help suggestions short of giving Ecklers several hundred dollars to overhaul the radio head.
