Default Hood spacing

I did the air lid mod. I was thinking about also doing the ram air mod where the front plate use to be. As I begun to think about it I was thinking of how hood scoops work. If I just used hood spacers it could have a similar effect with a fraction of the cost. Has anybody used this method? If so how ?

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish but neither will do much.

Test have shown time and again that air lid mods, filters, MAF screen removal will have almost no effect (like next to nothing) and only a smidge at the highest RPM bands.

If you are doing your mods for the heck of it, the licence plates might make the most sense, I be worried that lifting your hood by spaces may create a lot of pressure on a couple of bolts as your hood becomes a big wing and may fly off.
