still get mysterious code 33
Well, I've narrowd down some more what causes the problem, but not found the actual problem.
Recently took baby in to the shop for it, and they pretty much worked on the fuel system being rich. Apparently previous owner put 24-25 lb injectors in without doing any other motor mods. Took out perf chip, and dropped pressure to 39lbs, and it runs really well.
He also checked the system for vaccum leaks, and electrical shorts. None found. All voltages for the systems appear in spec. He did replace the TPS.
The MAF checked out fine...
NOw durring the day, the car drives fine. However in the morning or at night I get the error code for a few seconds, and the car stumbles a bit.
Common condition to make this occur:
lights on
at or under 2000 rpm
ac off
60 degrees ish outside may be colder in the morning.
Accelerating clears the condition for a bit, but I can't really justify driving over 75mph constantly to prevent the choaking/stumble problem.
any other ideas or the phone number of an exercist?
I spoke with a tech at Wells today and he said it was calibrated for stock or near stock setups. He had no idea on how to make it work, so it looks like it going to collect dust on the shelf.
