I'm in the process of pulling everything I can out/off of my engine since I won't have a crane until tomorrow. It's taken long enough, huh? :D: 2 questions.
1) How do I remove the injector wire harnesses?
2) How do I install fuel injectors into the new manifold?
Alright. Got a lot of stuff done today. Plenum, TB, MAF, runners, fuel rails, valve covers, alternator & bracket, AIR pump & bracket are all off the car and in the engine room.
On the injectors, I see the clips on the fuel rails that you have to turn to loosen it, then the injectors should just pop out of the rail, right? I tried it on 3 injectors and could not get any of them out of the rail. Am I missing something or just being to fragile with it?
Thanks Eighty5. I got them out, but they were extremely difficult to get out. I found that an 18mm wrench fits perfectly around the body closest to the fuel rail, and I could pry them forward. I got my new injectors installed and my AFPR as well.
