Part # for a/c delco plugs?
I want to get new plugs from autozone and they told me a part number I didnt recognize(I forget what he said)...Did it used to be FR3LS? They told me a/c delco has a different number now.(yes he verfied this wasnt for the iron heads)
Thanks.

A lot of the time, the parts store uses a "stock" number for spark plugs. Ask them to pull a plug from the shelf so you ccan look at it. The FR3LS will be on the body of the plug. You can also ask them to see the A/C plug catalog and look it up yourself. I sold part for 11 years, it is common for guys to look up thier own parts! Sometimes it is also better!
Thanks for the reply...yeah I know the plug number is on the plug..I dont have a/c declo plugs on my car right now and want to try them again.
This store, they keep the dang plugs behind their counters and you cant look them up like before.
Also, walmart used to carry a/c delco stuff but they dont carry anything for delco anymore...been to two wal marts and a K mart.
The number that was on the plug at AZ was R-162 or something like that.
They cross referenced it to rapidfires number 5 so I may use the rapidfires instead of the base plugs.Dont think theyre worth the 4-5 bucks each though.
Thanks again.

I had a feeling it was FR3LS...the computer at AZ isnt showing this part number nor do the plugs have them stamped on it...they even cross referenced it to that and nothing showed up..so Im going to go by the dealer next week.I know GM changes part numbers all the time but gotta be sure.
Thanks again!

i think once before we traded notes between an fr5 and an fr3....the fr3 is a little cooler right? heat zone?
pretty sure the 3 is the right one for you.
ttyl
Yeah I think thats the number they were giving me at AZ...need to call them again...just wanted to be sure.
Thanks for posting that...it just might be what im going to end up getting if no one is carrying the FR numbers anymore around here.As long as its the same,Ill sleep better at night.
JD,
Yeah I think the 2 numbers indicates heat range but thats always been a mystery to me.Never was too sure about that.
Because of my bad back, and the L98 is a PITA to do the plugs with a bad back,Id rather get them right the first time then do the job again.
TTYL!!
