code 46
I have a 91 and have been hearing a whining under the hood. Checked the computer in it, and it gave a code 46, BUT, according to the book of codes that came with the OBD, it says it's the VATS OR the power steering pressure switch. I can't find anywhere that a 91 has one! The whining is intermittent, and progressively getting worse, and the check engine light came on....love my baby but HELP!!

Katt, in this case, it doesn't matter since it is the same in the FSM for both J and Y vin codes but if you fill up your profile, it might help a lot since we don't know if you are talking of an L98 or LT5 motor. Also, location helps in case there is someone nearby who can look at your vehicle and might have tools that save you a couple dollars.
