Solid roller on the street???anyone running one??
any of you guys running a solid roller on the street, close to daily driven. Could i get some feedback(valve adjustments, relaibility, would you do it again?)
Re: Solid roller on the street???anyone running one?? (vetteman9368)
I'm running the TPIS #700-701 solid roller.
maintainance isn't too bad, I checked it after about 2000+ miles and they may have moved .003" (not bad IMHO).
once you've done it a few times it goes pretty quick.
the main thing is how difficult is it to get your valve covers off. that could take longer than the adjustment.
I don't think I put them on a daily driver, but since mine is a weekend car I don't mind doing the adjustments once or twice a year.
would I do it again? hmmm, depends, if you can make your power goals (safely) with a hyd cam, then there isn't a need to go solid.

CORKVETTE1,
its a pretty nice cam eh?? I don't think I'd want to go any bigger for the street though (kinda on the edge for my 6spd).
after seeing your 1/4 mile times I'm impressed
I'll have to steer clear of any vettes that look like yours (you'd smoke me in the 1/4)
