Today i got a chance to dyno my car once again.
Last time i my best was 268hp/308tq at the rear before the corsa.
This time i could only muster 270hp/320tq rear wheel, BUT you could definatly see in the dyno graph that something was going on at high RPM. Heck, i could even feel it. The comptuer was def taking out timing.
So, considering that this is a stock motor, and that all i changed was the Corsa, and a little consultation with SloRVette and Scorp, we decided it must be false. After all, we all know the LT1 sensor sucks. So, i guess its off to buy the LT4 modual. No biggie, only $40 or so! :yesnod:
I'm guessing i could have seen 285-290rwhp and close to 330 rwtq if it didn't pull the timing out.
btw: anyone have the number for the LT4 modual?
Gaining over 15 rwhp from a Corsa catback on an otherwise stock LT1 would be pretty impressive . I would guess more like 5-10+ rwhp would be in order. In a dyno test of five catbacks on aLT4 GS the best gain was only 12 rwhp worst was about 4 , I believe. Two best were the B&B and Power Effects (at wide open setting), Corsa was NOT included in this test but is more restrictive than these two and I doubt would have made MORE power.
No flames but, I think scorp508 is being realistic...... :seeya
